lucky charm// cataclysm’s friend

I haven’t been cross-posting my lettering work to this blog this year, and I feel a bit of regret about that, since I need to go back and figure it out which ones are missing. Until then, here’s my summary for the year.

I didn’t really have any particular reason for starting the Instagram, I originally was thinking about it when I started sketching lettering things I wanted to exist as merchandise or logo designs, but so far it has been fun.

“Best 9” for the year 2017, apparently.

I wrote a Chrome extension that replaces images on web pages with images of Rillakuma, using Daniel Shiffman’s Coding Train video tutorials.

Pretty happy with the way these photos came out. I don’t actually own Yuri’s pair skate outfit, he is wearing Victor’s outfit, and I combined two different photos to have the appearance of them appearing in the same photo. See more of my lettering on my Instagram.

Attempting to morph SVG paths, this actually only works with closed shapes, and not paths.

Trying out a new drawing program – Krita! It’s free for Mac and Windows, but since I accidentally saved the TIFF flattened, there’s not much else I can do aside from re-doing it.

Glory to mankind-

Started watching Sakura Quest and wanted to mess around with the lettering.

Metallic gel pens don’t work well on tracing paper.
