A week in food. Happy Halloween!
One story has many, many viewpoints. Ever had a friend come back from a long break, and you suddenly see all the flaws that you hadn’t realized before? Things like arrogance, ignorance, narcissism. Do you accept it and move on? I recently heard a story, a handful of people told me different things, and I still don’t know what to believe, other than no one is truly right or wrong. Something like a parody of Kurosawa’s Rashomon.
In terms of the Mathematics 3 building opening, I don’t have to describe anything if you just read the Record article about it. To summarize: important people from the government, university and area showed up to be thanked. There was delicious cider and cookies. I, for one, am looking forward to Pi Day/Pi Approximation Day. Apparently it was Ralph Stanton’s birthday last Friday, and despite the fact he passed away earlier this year, it never stopped people from celebrating his birthday. Always look on the brighter side!
“Brighter sides” of things are hard to find sometimes. Ever tried to bottle a thunderstorm? Have a day where you feel you can’t remember how to smile? Those days. But they come and go. Onto the next one~
Viral marketing at it’s best: cute, bubbly, generic; clever use of fonts that you’d think would never have a place in graphic design. Feds is giving away free bubble tea samples through the week before the grand opening of Campus Bubble, the UW on-campus bubble tea place. I’ll be at work when that happens, but I’m sure it’ll be very popular! Anyone interested in trying it with me? Or perhaps I’ll just go myself…
Mathematics 3 is opening tomorrow. I’ll be attending the grand opening as staff, not quite sure what to expect. It is, after all, the opening of a new building.
If you’re on campus this term, please consider playing Humans vs. Zombies! It’ll be an interesting experiment in strategy, communication, speed, and social dynamics. I’ll explain what I mean in later post. Essay time!
Being told-off by two different people in one week for not telling them about things…that’s new. Not good, but new.
Just a friendly reminder to go out and vote in the provincial election Thursday, if you haven’t already!
I wonder if it’s possible to put foods into containers that are similar, but not it’s original, and see if people notice. Mars bars into cookie tins, milk into juice boxes, bran flakes into the Rice Crispy box.
My ability to make coherent conversation deteriorates in correlation with how many Halls I’ve had…it’s even worse than cough medication, because, at least, it’s over quick, instead of having a piece of foul-tasting “candy” lolling around in your mouth.
I suppose we can start taking bets as to who will succumb the most times to the sick tree.
Here, have a lovely photo that reveals too much about me.

A photo of a chocolate cake I made with Anonymous Satou.
Yet another cake.
Did I mention the Hakuouki AliceXCross cards arrived? We had a tea party while opening them.
Gain “LP” at night! XD
The “flavour text” card is rather, well, tame (in comparison) to the some of the Joker side decks.
Some people I know- they’re Hello Kitty deckbox fans?
