“I’ll keep you my dirty little secret…”
But yes, some people really have a hard time accepting that others are different from themselves. Sometimes it portrays itself in a snide comment, a pointed look, an insensitive question. Jealousy, unfortunately, is a very common human emotion.
The more you look at others, the more desire to compare there is. It’s constructive at times, yes, because you want to improve yourself, but at the same time, all your failings come to light. Some people just are more jealous, and even others are effective in triggering it by being purposefully ignorant. It can little things like, “you’re so cheap,” “I didn’t really want to go to this country for a vacation, I was forced to,” or even smaller things like, “but everyone else has one, why don’t you”?
I’m not pointing fingers, but it’s…strange. Alien. Especially when applied to people, and not objects or physical things.
Humans vs. Zombies post is still pending.
The Waterloo Festival for Animated Cinema is returning once again for November 17-20. I’m excited about all the films, but over all, I’m really, really happy that they picked up the one film I thought I wouldn’t be able to see:
To Aru Hikuushi he no Tsuioku
The other anime film is the spin-off of the Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood film, The Sacred Star of Milos. Epic, but not quite on the same scale as To Aru Hikuushi he no Tsuioku (aka Recollections of a Certain Pilot).
