Being told-off by two different people in one week for not telling them about things…that’s new. Not good, but new.
UW Comics Club is hosting their second annual 24-Hour Comics Day! What is it? Well…basically, you make 24 pages of comics in 24 hours. And you lose a lot of sleep. XD
Last year’s event at the Artery Gallery.
Interested? It’s happening in the Artery Gallery in Kitchener, October 1-2, 12PM until 12PM, and you need to pre-register. Can’t make it to the one in Kitchener?
Fear not! 24-Hour Comics is happening all over the place, and there might be one near your place. Still can’t make it? Well, you can always do it at home…which is also kind of convenient, since all your food/art supplies/sleeping gear is already there.
Date: Saturday October 1 – Sunday October 2
Location: Artery Gallery space, 156 King Street, Kitchener
Event: 24-Hour Comics Day
Challenge: create 24 pages of comics in 24 hours
Notes: bring your own food, paper, equipment, sleeping gear, etc. Further details will be provided closer to the date.
Hope you try it, since it’s pretty insane. I hosted it last year, and…things get a little strange in the wee hours of the morning. Not to mention the “dead body” in the basement of the gallery last year. XD I kid! I kid!
Seriously. I know it’s the same weekend as Nuit Blanche (I KNOW TT^TT), but feel free to bug me here, on Facebook, on the blog, or by email if you want to come. No experience necessary!
